<라이브 오디션>
All Music Degrees Except Jazz Studies: Mallets, Snare Drum and Timpani:
- Final acceptance as a music major with a percussion emphasis will be determined by an audition consisting of prepared solos or etudes on mallets, timpani, and snare drum.
- Students will sight read on snare drum and marimba at the audition and play scales.
- You should select pieces that best showcase your ability level.
Jazz Studies Degree: Drum Set, Mallets and Snare Drum:
- All applicants for Jazz Studies degrees in drum set must perform the following for an audition:
- A snare drum solo or etude and sight reading;
- a marimba or vibraphone solo (can be a jazz or classical selection), sight reading and scales.
- The applicant should demonstrate styles skills in rhythmic improvisation in swing/be-bop, Afro-Cuban and Brazilian, and funk styles over Blues and AABA tune forms.
- In addition, jazz big band experience should be demonstrated. It is suggested to bring an additional DVD of a performance with a jazz combo or big band. The applicant will be asked to sight read a big band part in the audition.

• You will submit video audition links using the College of Music on-line system.
The screening repertoire is the same as for the live audition.

Students invited to audition for graduate study on campus will also be expected to sight-read on marimba and snare drum.
Applicants may choose to perform different musical selections at the on-campus audition if they prefer.
Keyboard One or two major keyboard mallet works of sufficient length and difficulty that demonstrates 2 and 4 mallet ability, suitable for applied music recitals (Senior, Masters).
The pre-screening video should contain a 6-minute excerpt of this music in addition to the orchestral excerpts below:

Multi-Percussion Multi-percussion solos are not performed during on campus auditions, but may be submitted as part of the Pre-Screening Video Audition.
